' This is the third book and to understand it at all, you need to read 'Things Not Seen' and 'Things Hoped For.' Each of these books are quick, enjoyable reads. There's intrigue and mild dollops of romance and danger. ' More thoughtful and better written than his younger novels, this young adult novel is told by Alicia, a blind teenager whose good friend/boyfriend Bobby is approached by an invisible man while in NYC. It is interesting premise and I liked that the main character is blind. That made me kinda mad as it was not what I was expecting. It was resolved very quickly with basically no real roadblocks. And all the while, I knew this book was short, much shorter than the other two. What would happen? Why is the FBI there? Who is William really? Ug. Then this book picks up where the second left off and I was very anxious for the characters. Not to mention William was a totally awful guy. Invisible people? Committing crimes? No good. Then I found out there was a second book, got a bit through, and then got pretty frustrated. I was quite satisfied with the first book. ' An unnecessary, bland addition to the 'series' that has good intentions. However, this book regains the science fiction aspect lost in the last book. ' Though very short, this book is poignant but I still think that Things Not Seen is the best. ' I didn't realize it was a sequel until just now but as I was listening to it (book on CD) I kept wondering if everyone was just playing a grand joke on the blind girl. ' this book i haven't read yet totally but it's kind of hard for a forth grade girl to read, because it's about Alica (girl that's blind),it's really hard for me to understand but it's amazing how many adjectives are in it.i hope you read the book!! ' - 12fundip, It kept me riveted, wondering whether I could trust the narrator, a blind girl trying to help an invisible man. They discover more people like them which really ties the whole book together.
